The fully-equipped Kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a large breakfast bar overlook the lounge. The lounge with two large sofas, accent chair and widescreen TV, in turn opens out to the lanai which overlooks a private South-facing pool. Pool heat is available on request and is recommended between October and April. The lanai with its large rectangular dining table and six comfortable chairs is perfect for al fresco dining.
A separate entrance gives access to the pool area from the master bathroom. There is a pool fence to protect our young guests from taking a swim on their own. There are also pool alarms on the doors that lead to the pool.
Dozens of great restaurants and shops are just a few minutes drive away.
Outside, the pool deck and lanai provide the perfect spot for alfresco dining or drinks by the pool. Enjoy a refreshing swim or simply relax and soak up the sun.
Windsor Palms is one of the closest vacation home communities to Disney (approx 3 miles) and just 25 minutes from Orlando International Airport. Well stocked supermarkets and plenty of restaurants are nearby mean that you have all you need to ensure a perfect vacation.
Villa Palmera is ideally located for all the attractions that central Florida has to offer.
Easy access to Disneyworld, Universal, Islands of Adventure and Seaworld are complemented by the relative proximity to Busch gardens ( about 75 minutes) and Kennedy Space Center, just an hour away.
Just over an hour will get you to Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic coast and not much more than that will get you to the Gulf of Mexico coast.
Just a short drive down Highway 192 leads to the entry to Disneyworld. The attractions of the Magic Kingdom are known globally.
Before you know it you are walking down Main Street and deciding whether to head off towards Frontierland (Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain), or Tomorrowland for a quick whirl around Space Mountain.
If you have younger children (or like us a daughter who suddenly becomes a ‘young child’ on arrival at the Magic Kingdom) then no doubt the first port of call will be Fantasyland and a sedate boat trip on Its a Small World.
Hollywood Studios is the easiest park to get to being just two minutes from leaving Highway 192. Head off to Aerosmith and pick up a Fast Pass for Tower of Terror. Decide who wants to audition for the The American Idol Show!
Epcot takes two or three visits to even begin to appreciate all it has to offer. Soarin´ in the Land Pavillion is worth the inevitable long queue. Then its the leisurely boat ride through the Greenhouses.
As in the rest of DisneyWorld if you have your iPhone or Blackberry with you free Wifi will enable you to catch up with your e mails whilst in the line. Not a good idea however whilst riding Test Track or Mission Space!
The mile and a half walk around the World Showcases will take at least half a day. Enjoy Fish and Chips in the United Kingdom Showcase and wander around the Twinings Tea Garden.
The 360 degree cinema shows in the Canadian and French Showcases are fantastic. Watch out for the shows that may be on at the theater in front of the America Showcase, they are truly amazing and not to be missed.
If you fancy some haute cuisine then head off to France, well the Showcase anyway. Taste the best of French wines en route.
Animal Kingdom is a wonderful place. Watch out for the Yeti on Everest and don´t miss the Lion King show. Cool down in the Congo rapids and wander around ‘Africa’.
Seaworld is a more leisurely day out, the Blue Horizons show is incredible. If you want something exciting ride Kraken and cool off on Atlantis.
Universal Studios again needs a few visits to appreciate all it has to offer. See how your score rates on Men in Black and consider auditioning for Fear Factor.
If you are into Harry Potter then you will love Islands of Adventure. Even if you are not then the Hulk and Spiderman will have you well entertained. Get soaked on the Bilge Barges and get more soaked on Dudleys Ripsaw falls!
If you have any interest at all in science then a trip to Kennedy Space Center is a must. Space Shuttle Atlantis forms the centrepiece of a new display area in 2013 and the Shuttle Experience is a realistic simulation of what it was like at launch.
There is a choice of bus tours including one which takes you just a few feet from the launchpad which was used for the Apollo missions and later on for the Shuttle itself. Then its on to to see a real Saturn 5 rocket and to walk the length of it (its horizontal of course!) is amazing. Then you can enjoy a bite to eat sitting directly under a Lunar module.
If playing a round of golf is your thing then you are in the right place with a choice of championship golf courses all on your door step. Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club is walking distance from Windsor Palms.
Just a short two-mile drive is Arnold Palmer’s world-famous golf course, ‘The Legend,’ at Orange Lake.
Windsor Palms has one the best locations of any vacation community. The Port Canaveral & Tampa Cruise ports are just over an hour away and easily accessible from the convenient resort location.
Windsor Palms ideal location also provides quick access to all of Orlando’s major attractions.
